Sant Elm ( Castilian San Telmo ) is a small place with a 180 meter long sandy beach on the Balearic island of Mallorca . The place consists mainly of smaller hotels and summer residences, there are few permanent residents or locals.

Sant Elm is located on the westernmost land point of Mallorca. The place can be reached from Andratx via the village of S'Arracó on a winding road through the mountains.
Attractions
In front of the beach of Sant Elm is the small island of Es Pantaleu , a little further off the island of Sa Dragonera , which has become a symbol of the struggle to preserve nature in the Balearic Islands. Environmentalists went to the highest Spanish regional court to prevent the construction of a holiday complex on the island. The court finally accepted their thesis and Sa Dragonera was acquired by the Consell Insular de Mallorca , the island council. Today the island is a nature reserve where sargantanes (endemic lizards ), falcons marins ( eleanor's falcons ) and gavines de bec roig ( coral gulls ) still live.
