Santianes is one of 15 parroquias in the municipality of Pravia in the autonomous region of Asturias in Spain .
The 631 inhabitants (2011) live in three villages on an area of 14.16 km². Santianes, the capital of the Parroquia of the same name, is 6.7 km from the municipality's capital.
history
A settlement was proven by finds from Roman times , a Roman settlement called Flavionavía (Flavium Avia) is probably also the namesake.
