Santo Antônio da Patrulha is a city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil and is 73 km away from Porto Alegre , the capital of Rio Grande do Sul.

It is one of the first four cities in the province of São Pedro do Rio Grande do Sul , from which the state of Rio Grande do Sul emerged. When it was founded, it was responsible for an extremely large area in southern Brazil, from which numerous later cities were founded.
