Santos Inzaurralde

Santos Inzaurralde Rodrigo (born June 5, 1925 in Minas , Uruguay ; † March 1, 2013 ibid) was a Uruguayan writer , songwriter and politician .

Santos Inzaurralde wrote numerous texts for musical works, including the Minas y Abril sung by Santiago Chalar in 1978 and Desde el Mangrullo in 1982 . Together with Santiago Chalar , he founded the Minas y Abril Festival in 1985 . Inzaurralde published two volumes of poetry. These were Vengo de Minas in 1975 and Las uvas de abuela in 1998 . From 1999 to 2000 he was director of the Casa de la Cultura in Lavalleja .

Inzaurralde also pursued a career as a politician. Such was the Edil the Junta Departamental Lavalleja which he presided as president in 1956 and was elected as a deputy of Lavalleja 1,962th He represented the Partido Nacional . In 1967 he was Secretary General of the Intendencia Departamental of Lavalleja .
