Sanzenbach is a district of the community Rosengarten in the district of Schwäbisch Hall .
geography
Sanzenbach is located on the western edge of the municipality of Rosengarten in the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park and on the eastern edge of the Mainhardt Forest . The K 2593 runs through the village from Bibersfeld to Rieden . Sanzenbach is traversed by the stream of the same name , as well as by the Hellenklingenbach, which flows into the Sanzenbach here.
history
Sanzenbach was first mentioned in 1336 as Santzenbach . The early history of the place is closely related to the castle , first mentioned in 1375 , which burned down in 1584. Sanzenbach was an independent municipality until 1869 and then came to Rieden within the Hall Upper Office . Until the 19th century, one of the four land towers of the Haller Landheeg stood above Sanzenbach at the height of the Mainhardt Forest .

Sanzenbach has 271 inhabitants, making it the second smallest village in the municipality.
