Sara Hjorting (born July 5, 1986 in Kristinehamn , Sweden ) is a Swedish floorball goalkeeper .
Club career
Hjorting started playing floorball at Kristinehamn IBK and went through the junior teams there. At the age of 18 she moved to Karlstad IBF and played for the club until 2009 in the highest Swedish league. She then moved to Täby FC IBK , for whom she guarded the goal for two years and was elected goalkeeper of the season in the Eliteserien in the 2011/12 season. She then moved to Pixbo Wallenstam IBK and became Swedish champion with the team in 2016.
National team
Hjorting has played for the Swedish national team since 2010 . At the 2011 World Cup in St. Gallen , she guarded the goal alongside Hanna Petterson in six games for a total of 81 minutes, without conceding a goal. The Swedes won the World Cup by beating Finland 4-2 in the final. In the following World Cup title in 2015 , she also guarded the Swedish goal in six games. However , it was not used at the 2013 World Cup in between .
