Sara Slattery
Sara Slattery (born Gorton; born October 2, 1981 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American long-distance runner .
In 2006 she finished 26th at the World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka on the long distance and was fourth at the Jacksonville River Run .
At the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, she won over 10,000 m .
Starting for the University of Colorado , she was NCAA 10,000 m champion in 2005 and NCAA indoor 5,000 m champion in 2003 .
She has been married to fellow runner Steve Slattery since January 2004 .
