Sarah C. Frothingham
Sarah Carter Frothingham (* 1821 in Boston , † July 20, 1861 in New York ) was an American miniature painter . She created numerous portraits .
Sarah Frothingham was the daughter of the painter James Frothingham (1786–1864). Most of her works were created between 1837 and 1845 in New York. She exhibited at the Boston Athenæum and the National Academy of Design , and in 1841 she became an associate member of the National Academy of Design.
