Sarah Monette (2014)

Sarah Monette (born November 25, 1974 in Oak Ridge , Tennessee) is an American author . She also publishes under the name  Katherine Addison .

Life

After finishing school, Monette studied and obtained a PhD in English . Her dissertation was on Ghosts in English Renaissance Tragedy. Monette currently teaches a literature class and lives in Wisconsin .

Her first fantasy novel Mélusine was published by Ace Books in August 2005 and received a review in Publishers Weekly . The sequel The Virtu followed in July 2006. She also wrote several short stories.

Her novel  The Goblin Emperor was  published in 2014 under the pseudonym Katherine Addison. He won the Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel and was also nominated for the Nebula , Hugo and World Fantasy Awards .
