Sarah Melis , formerly Sarah Sanders (* 1983 ) is a German actress .

Life

Sarah Melis graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz from 2004 to 2008 . In her senior year she received the award for exceptional achievements during her studies. In addition to the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Schauspielhaus Graz, her stage career included the Theater Baden-Baden and the Theater Konstanz . Melis played Masha in Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov , which Marie in Woyzeck by Georg Buchner , Shen Te and Shui Tain Bertolt Brecht's The Good Man of Sezuan , Princess Eboli in Schiller's Don Karlos or Juno in Jacques Offenbach's operetta Orpheus in der Unterwelt .

Improvisational theater is a focus of Sarah Melis' artistic activity. At the age of 15 she joined a theater group in her hometown of Hanover. Since her acting training, she has played regularly in the German-speaking improv theater scene, for example at the improvisation theater in Konstanz. In 2002 Melis participated in the first impro-theater festival in Würzburg. In 2012 she attended an intensive course lasting several weeks in Los Angeles, and also attended workshops with Ivana Chubbuck and Ken Rea. She also gives acting lessons herself.

Occasionally Sarah Melis also works in front of the camera. Here she was seen in various roles in several Ludwigshafener Tatort episodes in the past . The actress lives in Hanover.
