Satoshi Motoyama ( Japanese 本 山 哲 , Motoyama Satoshi ; born March 4, 1971 in Tokyo Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese automobile racing driver .

Career

He achieved impressive results in racing series in his home country, where he became Formula Nippon Champion in 1998 , 2001 , 2003 and 2005 . He also started in the Super GT series, where he won the title in 2004 together with the British Richard Lyons . In 2003 he was the third pilot for Jordan in the Friday training sessions at the Japanese Grand Prix . In 2004 he drove for Renault in pre-season tests . One of his successes in sports car racing was winning the 1999 Fuji 1000 km race , together with Érik Comas and Masami Kageyama in a Nissan R391 .
