The Saturn Sky was an open-top sports car or convertible sold by the US automobile manufacturer Saturn from spring 2006 to summer 2009 .

The Sky is based on General Motors' Kappa platform , making it the sister model of Pontiac Solstice , Daewoo G2X and the Opel GT Roadster .

The Sky was shown for the first time as a prototype at the Detroit Motor Show in early 2005 and as a production version a year later. The design of the Sky was created by Franz von Holzhausen .

Production of the 2.4-liter version began in spring 2006, followed in autumn by the more powerful Sky redline version with a two-liter turbo engine with an output of 194 kW (264 hp), multi-disc limited-slip differential, Bilstein sports suspension and reinforced stabilizers, double exhaust, 18- Custom rims and modified front apron with additional air inlets for wheel arch ventilation and brake cooling. Inside, the Redline differs from the basic model in that it has a leather steering wheel with integrated radio control buttons, leather gear shift bag and gear knob, door sill trims with metal inserts and a charge pressure display in the on-board computer.
