Sauli Aksel Pälli (born September 23, 1912 in Kymi , † December 13, 1960 in Valkeakoski ) was a Finnish skier.

Career

Pälli won his first and only ski jumping title at the Finnish Championships in 1934. A little later he started at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 and landed as the second-best Finn in 19th place with jumps on 44 and 55.5 meters. A year later at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1935 , he achieved 12th place in the Nordic Combined . In the same year he secured second place at the Lahti Ski Games .

At the Olympic Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936 , he was unable to convince with two jumps on 71 and 68.5 meters and only ended up in 47th place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1938 he was once again in the national team with his brothers, and was able to win but not in the top 50. Pälli had previously secured the silver medal at the Finnish Championships again.

Pälli's brothers Tauno and Lasse were also successful as ski jumpers.
