Savitri Jindal (born March 20, 1950 in Tinsukia , Assam ) is an Indian entrepreneur and politician .

Life

Jindal is the chairman of the Indian company Jindal Steel . As a member of parliament, she sits in the state of Haryana . Her husband Om Prakash Jindal died in a helicopter crash in 2005 . Jindal is widowed and has nine children. She lives with her family in Hisar , Haryana. According to the US Forbes Magazine , Jindal is one of the richest Indians.
