Savitri Kunadi

Savitri Kunadi (born September 23, 1943 in Kota (India) ) is a former Indian ambassador .

Life

Savitri Kunadi is the daughter of Ridhi Sidhi Kumari and Gajender Singh. She is a Master in Political Science . From 1969 to 1971 she was the third class diplomatic secretary in Paris . From 1977 to 1980 she was the first class diplomatic secretary in the Warsaw Trade Department . From 1983 to 1986 she worked at the UN headquarters in New York City.

From October 1986 to June 1989 she was ambassador to Lima and was accredited to the government in La Paz . From 1989 to 1992 she represented the Indian government at UNESCO in Paris . From 1992 to 1997 she headed the International Organizations Department at the New Delhi Foreign Ministry . From January 1998 to February 2002 the mission headed the United Nations agencies in Geneva and represented the Indian government at disarmament conferences. From February 2002 to July 8, 2004 she was ambassador in Paris .
