Schönborn is a district of the town of Triptis in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

geography

The district of Schönborn is touched to the east by the federal highway 9 . The place is surrounded by meadows and fields as well as forest on a plateau of the Saale-Elster sandstone plate. Local connection routes connect to federal highway 281 and continue to federal highway 2 and federal highway 9 at Triptis .

history

The first documentary mention of the place took place in 1378. The church is of Romanesque origin. In 1713 it was partially dismantled and rebuilt. In the 1950s, the farmers of the village also had to take the path of collectivization of their farms and found new structures in agriculture after the fall of the Wall in 1990. Baumann GmbH has existed in the village since then. She sells sheep, wool and meat.

The incorporation of the place into the city of Triptis took place on May 1, 1965.
