Federal Chess League 2006/07 (Switzerland)

In the 2006/07 season of the Swiss Bundesliga in chess , Valais and the defending champion chess club Birsfelden / Beider Basel fought head-to-head for the title. Both teams suffered a surprising defeat against teams from the midfield (Birsfelden / Beider Basel against Basel BVB, Valais against ASK Winterthur ), so that in the end Birsfelden / Beider Basel won the third title in a row with a two point lead won. NN Bern was promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga and was just about to stay in league as the penultimate, while the Niederrohrdorf chess club had to relegate .
