Ivan Ivanišević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Иван Иванишевић ; born November 23, 1977 ) is a Serbian chess player .

He won the Serbian individual championship several times: in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2017 and 2019. He played for Serbia in eight chess Olympiads : 1998 to 2002 and 2008 to 2016 . He also took part in the European team championships ten times (1999 to 2017). At the 2011 World Chess Cup he failed in the first round to Alexander Onischuk .

In the 2006/07 season he won the championship in Switzerland with the chess club Birsfelden / Beider Basel .

In 1997 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM) and in 2000 the title of Grand Master (GM).
