Dejan Antić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Дејан Антић ; born December 9, 1968 in Jagodina ) is a Serbian chess player , chess trainer and author.

Career as a player

Dejan Antić began his professional career as a chess player in 1988. He bears the official titles of Grand Master and Senior Trainer, which are awarded by the world association FIDE . Antić took part in European championships both as a single player and as a team. In 1991 he was awarded the title International Master , 1999 the title Grand Master and 2015 the title Senior Trainer. His current Elo rating is 2472. He achieved his best score in June 2009 with 2523 Elo points. In 2002 he was runner-up in the Yugoslav Championship. In 2015 he took first place in the Serbian Championship.

Career as an author

Dejan Antić, together with his Serbian co-author Branimir Maksimović, wrote two of the most respected chess books of the last few years. In 2012, “The modern Bogo-Indian 1. d4 e6” appeared, which with a length of 476 pages has become a comprehensive work on the Bogo-Indian opening. In 2014 “The modern French” was released. This book covers the very popular French defense. Both works were published by the renowned chess publisher New in Chess.
