Miloš Pavlović (born January 5, 1964 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian chess player , trainer and author. He has been competing in international tournaments since 1981 and by 1993 achieved the necessary standards for the grandmaster title, which he was awarded in 1994. His greatest success so far was winning twice at the master tournament of the renowned Biel / Bienne International Chess Festival in Switzerland . In addition, he became the Yugoslav champion in 2002. He played at the 2003 European Team Championship for the national team of Serbia and Montenegro and is currently playing for ŠK Lasta Belgrade in the Serbian first division and in Denmark for Fredericia Skakforening . He also took part in the European Club Cup with ŠK Lasta Belgrade in 2009 , and has also played for ŠK Montenegrobanka Podgorica and the team from Agrouniverzal Zemun , with whom he took second place in the European Club Cup in 1999.
As a trainer, he coached Jovanka Houska , Gawain Jones , Borki Predojević , Jovana Rapport , Nataša Bojković and several times both the Serbian men's and women's national teams.
Pavlović most often plays the Sicilian Defense , about which he has written two books, with both Black and White , and another on the Spanish game . In addition, he published several articles in Schachinformator and New In Chess .
