Schammach is a district of the municipality Attenweiler in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg . The hamlet in the Attenweiler district is located about one kilometer southwest of Attenweiler and can be reached via state road 266.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1237 as "Schammun", when Reichsschenk Konrad von Winterstetten donated the Schammach estate he had acquired from Friedrich von Baumgarten to the Schussenried monastery. In 1240 the donation was confirmed by King Conrad IV .
Like Gutershofen , Schammach was acquired by the Heilig-Geist-Spital in Biberach an der Riss in 1371 and sold in 1650/67.
