Shargalma Ochirovna Zyrenova

Shargalma Ochirovna Zyrenova ( Russian Жаргалма Очировна Цыренова ; English transcription: Zhargalma Ochirovna Tsyrenova ; born June 9, 1989 ) is a Russian wrestler . In 2013 she became vice European champion in the weight class up to 59 kg body weight.

Career

Shargalma Zyrenova comes from Buryatia , where she began wrestling as a teenager. Now she lives in Moscow and belongs to a wrestling club there. She was trained by Vladimir Gulgenow, Juri A. Skryljow and Massim Molonow. She is a student.

She made her first international start as a student wrestler at the 2006 World University Championships in Ulan Bator, where she finished 5th in the weight class up to 55 kg. In 2008 she even became university world champion in the weight class up to 59 kg in Thessaloniki, in which she always competed in the following years. She won in Thessaloniki before Sofia Poumpouridou from Greece and Othella Feroleto-Lucas from the United States.

In 2008 Shargalma Zyrenova won her first medal with a 3rd place in a Russian women's championship in the weight class up to 59 kg. Only Julija Rekwawa and Margaret Fatkulina placed in front of her. In 2009 she was Russian runner-up behind Olga Kiossowa and in front of Julija Rekwawa and Margaret Fatkulina. In 2010 she won a bronze medal behind Yekaterina Vyunova and Margaret Fatkulina at this championship. In 2012 she won a bronze medal at a Russian championship behind Jekaterina Melnikowa and Natalja Golz .

In the years 2009 to 2013 Shargalma Zyrenova achieved some very good placements in various tournaments of the best international class. But she did not come back to another international championship until 2013. She started this year at the European championship in Tbilisi and won there with victories over Ana Meier, Portugal, Mimi Christowa, Bulgaria and Hafize Sahin, Turkey Loss in the final against Anastassia Huchok from Belarus and an EM silver medal .
