Anna Evgenyevna Polovnaeva
Anna Evgenjewna Polownewa ( Russian Анна Евгеньевна Половнева ; born June 4, 1984 ) is a Russian wrestler . In 2007 she became European champion in the weight class up to 67 kg.
Career
Anna Polownewa comes from Krasnoyarsk and came to wrestling there in 1994 as a teenager. She also belongs to a wrestling club in Krasnoyarsk. Your first trainer was Evgeny Lukyanov. Other important coaches in her career were Wiktor Raikow and AW Sutschkow. She is a sports student, wrestler and member of the Air Force.
Right at her first start at an international championship, she became Junior European Champion in the age group Cadets (up to the age of 16) in the weight class up to 60 kg in Bratislava in 2000. In 2002, at the age of eighteen, she was already used at the World Championship for Senior Women in Chalkida / Greece in the weight class up to 63 kg. But she still had to learn the hard way there, because after a victory over Diletta Giampiccolo from Italy she lost in the next round to Lene Aanes from Norway, so eliminated and only came in 15th place.
She achieved a great success in 2003 in Istanbul. She was there in the weight class up to 63 kg junior world champion (age group up to 20 years of age). She relegated Chong Kyi, China, Emilia Drzewinska , Poland and Alaine Berube , USA, to their places. At the European Junior Championships in Sofia in 2004, she disappointed and only came in 9th after an early defeat. In 2005 it was used for the second time at a world championship for senior women. She won in Budapest in the weight class up to 63 kg over Mabel Fonseca Ramirez, Puerto Rico and Otschirbatyn Nasanburmaa , Mongolia, then lost to the multiple world and Olympic champion Kaori Icho from Japan and also lost the battle for a bronze medal against Sara McMann from the United States States. It took 5th place.
In 2007 Anna Polownewa was used at the European Championships in Sofia in the weight class up to 67 kg, where she surprisingly won the European title with victories over Ashlea McManus, Great Britain, Aurelie Gerlac, France, Maria Müller , Germany and Katerina Burmistrowa , Ukraine.
After this victory, she did not appear again until 2011 at an international championship. She lost her first fight against Olga Butkewitsch from Great Britain at the European Championships in Dortmund and only came in 11th place. Her last start at an international championship was at the 2012 European Championships in Belgrade, where she was in the weight class up to 59 kg after victories over Georgiana Narcisa Paic, Romania and Katarzyna Krawczyk, Poland and defeats against Anastasija Grigorjeva , Latvia and Ludmila Cristea , Moldova , came in 5th place.
