Lyubov Michailowna Wolossowa ( Russian Любовь Михайловна Волосова ; born August 16, 1982 in Ulan-Ude , Buryat ASSR ) is a Russian wrestler of Buryat origin. In 2006 and 2010 she was European champion in the weight class up to 59 and 63 kg body weight and won five medals at other world and European championships.

Career

Lyubov Volosova started wrestling when he was thirteen in 1995. She is Burjatin and starts for SDjuSdOR Ulan-Ude . Andrei Vladimirovich Busin has been your personal trainer since 2004. The 1.60 meter tall athlete initially started in the weight class up to 59 kg and for some time now in the weight class up to 63 kg body weight.

She was already very successful as a junior wrestler and won the title in front of Stefanie Stüber from Germany and Marcie van Dusen from Germany when she first participated in an international championship, the Junior World Championship (Cadets) in Manchester in 1998 in the weight class up to 56 kg United States . In 2004 she won a bronze medal in the weight class up to 59 kg at the European Championships in Haparanda . There she won u. a. via Julia Ratkewitsch from Belarus , but surprisingly lost in the semifinals against Sabrina Esposito from Italy . She finally won the bronze medal with a victory over Stefanie Stüber. She could not qualify for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Since the weight class up to 59 kg is not Olympic, she tried to qualify in Russia in the Olympic weight class up to 63 kg, but lost to Aljona Kartaschowa .

In 2005 she did not take part in any international championships. In 2006, Lyubov Wolossowa was the first European champion in Moscow in the weight class up to 59 kg. She defeated her old rival Stefanie Stüber in the final battle. At the World Championships this year in Guangzhou , she started in the weight class up to 63 kg and defeated there u. a. Stéphanie Groß from Germany and Agoro Papavasiliou from Greece . But she lost to Xu Haiyan from China and in the battle for the bronze medal against Helena Allandi from Sweden.

In 2007 she only competed in the World Championships in Baku . She lost there in her second fight against Lise Legrand from France and was eliminated because she did not reach the final fight. She ended up in 15th place. In 2008 Lyubov Wolossowa was defeated by Aljona Kartaschowa at the Russian championship and then got no chance to qualify for the Olympic Games in Beijing that year . In 2008, in addition to the Olympic Games, there were also World Championships in Tokyo , where it was used in the weight class up to 63 kg. She won there over Hanna Beljajewa from Belarus, Alaina Berube , USA , and Audrey Prieto from France. In the final, however, she lost to Mio Nishimaki from Japan and became vice world champion.

In 2009 she became vice world champion at the world championship in Herning / Denmark . She won there in the weight class up to 63 kg u. a. via Elena Piroschkowa from the United States and Monika Ewa Michalik from Poland , but lost again in the final against Mio Nishimaki. 2010 Lyubov Wolossowa won her second European title in Baku. In the final battle she was successful against Audrey Prieto. She won her last medal at an international championship at the 2010 World Cup in Moscow. She lost there in the semifinals against Elena Piroschkowa and defeated Katherina Vidiaux Lopez from Cuba in the battle for the bronze medal .

At the 2011 World Cup in Istanbul , she lost in her second fight against Ochirbatyn Nasanburmaa from Mongolia and only reached 17th place. Since she was not qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London , she had to go to the FILA qualifying tournaments. There she managed to qualify for these games in the first of these tournaments in Sofia in the weight class up to 63 kg by winning against Julija Ostaptschuk from Ukraine, Olesja Samula from Azerbaijan and Sorondsonboldyn Battsetseg from Mongolia.
