Henna Johansson

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Henna Katerina Johansson (born May 1, 1991 ) is a Swedish wrestler . In 2012 she was European champion in free style in the weight class up to 67 kg body weight.

Career

Henna Johansson grew up in Gällivare and started doing gymnastics there as a child . She started wrestling back in 1996 and has since competed in front of Gällivare SK (SportKlubb). Your first coach was Hakan Johansson. Since 2010 she has been trained by Fariborz Besarati.

She competed in her first international competitions as a junior. In 2006 she was Nordic junior champion in the weight class up to 52 kg, but had to be content with 10th place at the European Junior Championships (Cadets) in Istanbul in the same weight class. Just one year later, in 2007, she became European Junior Champion (Cadets) in this weight class in Warsaw . In 2008 she repeated this success in Daugavpils , but in the weight class up to 60 kg. At the Junior World Championships this year in Istanbul, she took 3rd place in the weight class up to 63 kg.

In 2009 Henna Johansson started in Vilnius for the first time at a European championship for women and took 3rd place in the weight class up to 63 kg behind Monika Ewa Michalik from Poland and Aljona Kartaschowa from Russia , together with the German Stefanie Stüber . In August 2009, she became Junior World Champion for the first time in Ankara .

At the 2010 European Championships in Baku, she suffered a small setback, because she lost there in the weight class up to 63 kg after a victory over Monika Szerencse against Hanna Beljajewa from Belarus , was eliminated and only came in 8th place. At the 2010 World Cup in Moscow, Hena Johansson lost to multiple world champion Kaori Icho from Japan in the first round , but then won a bronze medal with victories over Chen Meng , China and Marianna Sastin from Hungary .

The international championships in 2011 were disappointing for Henna Johansson. At the European Championships in Dortmund she was eliminated after the first round after a defeat against Laura Skujina from Latvia and finished in 17th place and at the World Championships in Istanbul she lost after two wins against Elena Piroschkowa from the United States and landed on the 16th place.

At the European Championships in Belgrade in 2012 , she started in the weight class up to 67 kg for the first time and won the European championship there with victories over Kristine Orbowa, Latvia, Ilana Krati, Israel , Dschanan Filipowa Manolowa, Bulgaria and Alla Cherkassova from Ukraine .

It can be assumed that Henna Johansson intends to start again in the weight class up to 63 kg at the Olympic Games in London , since the weight class up to 67 kg is not on the Olympic program.

She was then actually at the start in London and won her first fight over Aisuluu Tinibekow from Kyrgyzstan . But then she met multiple world champion Kaori Icho from Japan, to whom she lost. Since this reached the final, she was able to continue in the consolation round, but lost there against the ex-world champion Martine Dugrenier from Canada and only came in 10th. In 2012 she competed in the weight class up to 67 kg at the World Championships in Strathcona County, Canada. But there she lost her first fight against Nadezhda Semenzowa from Azerbaijan and therefore only came in 14th place.

2013 was not a successful year for Henna Johansson in terms of the international championships. She came in March 2013 at the European Championships in Tbilisi in the weight class up to 63 kg after a loss to Hanna Beljajewa from Azerbaijan, which resulted in her departure, on the 15th place and reached at the World Championships in Budapest in the same weight class after one First round defeat against the Chinese Xiluo Zhuoma only 20th place.

She achieved a much better result in April 2014 at the European Championships in Vantaa / Finland. She won there in the weight class up to 63 kg over Beatrice Oancea from Romania, then lost to Maryja Mamaschuk from Belarus, won over Maria Diana from Italy and lost in the battle for a bronze medal against Dschanan Manolowa from Bulgaria and came in 5th place.
