Lake sounds

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schauenseeklänge are a country band , based in central Switzerland . The name was derived from the Schauensee castle in Kriens . A few years later, the conductor Werner Emmenegger and his family moved from Kriens to Seelisberg , so that today the music group is also stationed there.

style

Their music largely results in a synthesis between the Oberkrainer and the concert style Central Switzerland of traditional country music . That means that Werner Emmenegger interprets the staccato of the Oberkrainer style on the accordion . He also creates his own compositions. In addition to the traditional rhythms, the five musicians also included tango , cha-cha-cha and English waltzes in their repertoire.

Career

The formation was founded in 1971 and consisted of Werner Emmenegger ( accordion ), Erika Huber ( piano ), Ernst and Karl Huber (both clarinet ). Since 1973 the band has been accompanied on the bass violin by the music publisher Seppi Fanger . At the same time, the formations were increased from four to five people. The “Schauenseeklänge” had to endure several personnel changes; so in 1976 the clarinetist and saxophonist Xaver Ineichen, who is still playing today, joined them. The pianist and trombonist Paul Wallimann and the clarinetist and saxophonist Rolf Emmenegger have been there since 1990 . The band, which today consists of five musicians, is temporarily reinforced by guest musicians, including Edy Wallimann . Sometimes an Oberkrainer style is played in which the otherwise common guitar is replaced by the piano.
