legend

According to legends , the Hünen lived as descendants of the giants on the heights of Klüt , Ith and the Ottenstein plateau . The legend of the Hünen von der Obensburg tells of a giant who is said to have lived in the Hünenkuhle, a depression on the mountain. When the Obensburg giant wanted to visit the giant on the Ith one day , something was pinching his shoe. He sat down on a slope at the foot of the Obensburg and threw out the shoe. A large stone fell out, which is still today below the Obensburg.
