The SFS 31 "Milan" windshield is a motor glider manufactured in the 1960s by the companies Scheibe-Flugzeugbau and Sportavia-Pützer in cooperation.
history
The SFS 31 is a combination of the wings of the SF 27M developed by Scheibe and the fuselage of the Fournier RF-4 , which was manufactured under license by Sportavia-Pützer. By using the significantly longer wings of the SF 27, the sailing characteristics could be significantly improved compared to the RF-4. With a glide ratio of 30 it exceeds z. B. the more popular Schleicher ASK 14 , which has a glide ratio of 28.
