Shirak Poghosjan

Shirak Poghosjan ( Armenian Շիրակ Պողոսյան , at World Athletics Shirak Pogosian ; born September 24, 1969 in Yerevan ) is a former Armenian athlete who specialized in the long jump . With a height of 1.78 m, his competition weight was 71 kg.

At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Barcelona in 1995 , he jumped 7.34 m in qualification. At the 1995 Summer Universiade in Fukuoka , he narrowly missed qualifying for the final with 7.54 m in his third attempt. At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Paris in 1997 , he only reached 7.21 m in qualification.

He took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney for Armenia . In group B of the qualification he only reached the penultimate place with 7.24 m, for participation in the final 8.00 m would have been necessary.
