The battle of vindonissa was around the year 298 (according to other sources to 302 n. Chr.) In the area of today's city Windisch AG , Kanton Aargau , Switzerland between Alemanni and Romans under the Caesar Constantine I played. Constantius won this battle and was subsequently able to secure the Roman Rhine border for years.
The Vindonissa Museum in the Swiss city of Brugg is dedicated to the battle .
