Bazouges Castle is located on the banks of the Loir in the town of Bazouges-sur-le-Loir in the Sarthe department in the French region of Pays de la Loire (historical province of Anjou ).

Bazouges Castle was built in the 15th and 16th centuries for Baudoin de Champagne, Chamberlain René I of Anjou , Louis XII. and Francis I. built. Two towers in the style of the early Renaissance , with machicolation and conical roofs , flank the gatehouse . In one of the two there is a 15th century chapel with an Anjou vault.

Over time, several residential buildings were added. One of the two guard rooms has a fireplace. There are salons from the 18th century.

The proximity to the river, the park with its cypress and yew trees and the stately mill at the end characterize the property. The transmission mechanics and the wooden water wheel of the mill are examples of the technology of the time.
