Bjärka-Säby Castle is located in the Swedish municipality of Linköping in Östergötland , about 18 km south of Linköping .

The manor was founded in the 14th century by Bo Jonsson . Bjärkaholm Castle, which was built at that time, only exists as a ruin today. The castle, which is located on Lake Stora Rängen , was built between 1791 and 1800 by order of Count Germund Ludvig Cederhielm according to plans by the architect Fredrik Magnus Piper . Its current baroque style comes from a renovation around 100 years later, which was directed by Agi Lindegren .

There are two older castle complexes near the castle. 1.5 km north are the ruins of the original Bjärkaholm Castle from the 14th century. The second complex, the so-called Old Castle, is from the first half of the 17th century and was supplemented with two winged buildings in the Carolinian style at the beginning of the 18th century.

The castle has belonged to the Ekman family since 1872. In 1980 she gave it to a Pentecostal church in Linköping, which has a study and retreat center there. An ecumenical community is also located there.
