The castle in Dampierre , a French commune in the Aube department in the Grand Est region , was built in the third quarter of the 17th century. The castle has been classified as a monument historique since 1929 .

The castle was built according to the plans of the builder François Mansart . The courtyard of honor can be reached via a porch from the 15th century with four round corner towers that protected the access via the former drawbridge . The adjoining two-storey castle with a length of 40 and a width of 28 meters has eleven window axes , three of which are in the middle risalit . The three windows of the mansard roof are decorated with vases decorated with flames.

The Puits flows behind the castle and flows into the Aube .
