The Puits is a river in France that runs in the Grand Est (formerly Champagne-Ardenne ) region. It rises in the local area of Sompuis in the Marne department , flows mainly in a southerly direction through the dry Champagne ( French: Champagne sèche ), crosses the border to the Aube department and finally flows into the river after about 33 km in the municipality of Isle-Aubigny as a right tributary Aube . The Puits has no major tributaries.
