The castle Moret-sur-Loing ( French Château de Moret-sur-Loing ) was a castle in Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne , a town in the Seine-et-Marne department of the Île-de-France region , on a medieval Castle went back. The building at 15 rue du Donjon is protected as a monument historique .

The royal castle was built between 1128 and 1150 for Ludwig VI. and Ludwig VII. erected. From this fortification , after being destroyed and converted into a castle in the 17th century, only the former donjon remains, which is now used as a residential building.

A large rose window can be seen in the middle of the street , under which a balcony was attached. Coupled windows structure the facade. Buttresses at the corners remind of the former fortified character of the donjon.
