Schmidt + Clemens GmbH + Co. KG is a stainless steel plant founded in 1879 by Ludwig Schmidt and Wilhelm Clemens in Frankfurt am Main .
history
Shortly after it was founded, the company in Leppetal acquired one of the iron hammers made in the early 19th century . The company's main plant was built on the site of these water-powered hammers.
Today, the Schmidt + Clemens Group produces stainless steel system components from molded and centrifugal castings and has branches in Great Britain , the Czech Republic , Spain , the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Malaysia . The subsidiary S + C Märker, also at the Kaiserau location, deals with the refinement of forged components made of stainless steel (heat treatment, mechanical processing).
