Bernd Vowinkel

Bernd Vowinkel (* 1947 ) is a German scientist and non-fiction author.

Until 2010, Vowinkel was a research assistant at the Radio Astronomical Institute of the University of Bonn (RAIUB) and at the first Physics Institute at the University of Cologne in the field of radio astronomy , semiconductor and microwave technology . After several scientific books and specialist articles in his field, he has been writing popular science books on consciousness , pattern recognition , artificial intelligence , transhuman and posthuman civilization since 2006 .

Life

Bernd Vowinkel studied in Giessen Telecommunications and Bonn physics and astronomy . In 1978 he received his doctorate with the thesis Heterodyne receiver with Schottky and Josephson mixer for radio astronomical observations in the millimeter wave range at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Bonn. He is a member of the Giordano Bruno Foundation and was elected regional group representative there in 2012. Among other things, Vowinkel wrote an article on the coalition agreement of the 18th parliamentary term for the Humanist Press Service (hpd) in the editorial office of which he is listed as an author.
