The forge in Kottgeisering , an Upper Bavarian municipality in the Fürstenfeldbruck district , was built around 1845. The former smithy at Grafrather Straße 5 is a protected architectural monument .

The house is a two-storey, massive gable roof building with a carved door and a mortar sculpture on the facade. The former workshop is an attached, ground-floor solid building with a gable roof.

The front door has a carved frame and depicts the blacksmith's important tools: a sledgehammer and pliers . The horseshoe shown is the typical product of a village blacksmith.
