history

The production company was founded in 1947 as the successor to the Berlin production company Naturfilm Hubert Schonger , which was founded in 1923 . A year later, the first film was made Ten years later .

Since the Berlin production facilities of the Schongers predecessor company were lost during the Second World War, the new production company was relocated to Inning am Ammersee. Schonger owned a farmhouse there, behind which he built a shed called the studio . The cutting and demonstration room was housed in the former stables and barns. Soon afterwards, a second studio was built in the attic of the house and as early as 1953 Schonger began to equip the Inningen film site with proper studios.

In the 1960s, Schongerfilm also ran a dubbing department under the direction of Ingo Hermes , which created German dubbed versions of foreign film productions.

After Schonger's death in 1978, the studio building was used for other purposes. There is still a “film” and a “studio street” in Inning today.
