The Schopfenspitz (French Gros Brun ) is 2104  m above sea level. M. high summit in the Swiss canton of Friborg , it is part of the Friborg Prealps . The municipal boundary between Val-de-Charmey  and  Jaun ( Gruyère district ) runs over its summit  . Northeast of the summit is the Breccaschlund , southwest of the summit is the Vanil d'Arpille .
