The Sparkassengalerie in Schweinfurt shows changing exhibitions, primarily with contemporary art. It is located in the Schranne , a former granary from the 16th century .

The gallery is located in the old town , on the Roßmarkt, in the main building of the Sparkasse Schweinfurt-Haßberge , the Schranne.
The Schranne
The Schranne is a former granary from 1560, a Renaissance building complex with three wings around a courtyard open to the Roßmarkt. From 1606 the building served as a community courtyard and warehouse and has been owned by Sparkasse Schweinfurt since 1935. The small fountain in the forecourt shows the former importance of the Rossmarkt for the grain and money trade. From 1950 to 1953 the building complex, which was partially destroyed in the war, was rebuilt and rebuilt.
The gallery
The Sparkassengalerie was founded in 1986. Five new exhibitions are shown every year. The focus is on painting , drawing , plastic and sculpture . Over 150 exhibitions have already taken place.
