The Schuchtkogel is a 3471 meter high mountain in Tyrol .

It is located about 1.5 km northeast of the Wildspitze on the Weißkamm in the Ötztal Alps and is surrounded on all sides by glaciers . The Mittelbergferner extends to the east, the Taschachferner to the west .

The first ascent took place on September 8, 1874 by Alois Grüner, G. Praxmarer and Carl Zöppritz. The Schuchtkogel is named after Richard Schucht, the builder of the Braunschweiger Hütte . The Braunschweiger Hütte ( 2759  m ) approx. 5 kilometers northeast of the mountain is also the starting point for the ascent of the mountain, which leads over the Mittelbergferner and the north ridge in difficulty II (UIAA) to the summit.
