The Schulenburg Bridge is a steel arch bridge with a central road and wind bracing in the Berlin district of Wilhelmstadt in the Spandau district on the Lower Havel Waterway . It is entered in the list of cultural monuments in Berlin-Spandau with the object documentation no.09085791 .

location

In connection with the expansion of the large shipping route Berlin – Stettin and the Spandau lock , the Havel was straightened here , so that a flood-free island was created between the Havelal arm and the regulated river. Between 1906 and 1911, the Spandau Südhafen was built in Spandau along the newly created main arm of the Havel on a 160,000 square meter site. Schulenburgstrasse runs along a dam between the two parts of the port. The steel half-timbered arch bridge in steel rivet construction, completed in 1909, connects Schulenburgstrasse east of the Havel with Götelstrasse and Weißenburger Strasse.

The fairway of the federal waterway is 68 meters wide under the bridge. The bridge has two lanes and two parking lanes.
