Schulzke's Scandal Trupp was a German music band that existed from 1973 to 1983. The group was one of the pioneers on the Hamburg scene .

The career

With their lousy stage program and bizarre song lyrics, they quickly gathered their own fan base. Hans-Otto Mertens (manager and producer of Otto Waalkes ) became aware of the group and produced their first LP in spring 1974 for the record label Rüssl Räckords . Radio and television appearances such as in the Cologne meeting with Alfred Biolek or music from Studio B (1976) made the group known nationwide. Their 1975 single The Oath of Revelation became a pub anthem on jukeboxes . Appearances all over Germany were the result.

The band ultimately reduced to four musicians. This is how the second LP Der Alsterwalzer came about in 1977. The four Schulzkes had their first nationwide hit with the single Der Schweinetango .

Spontaneous comedy and abuse of the public lived up to the name Scandal Trupp. From 1979 Rainer Felsen - among other things, producer of Klaus and Klaus , Bino and Torfrock - produced songs like The Distributor Finger (1979) or Mein Gott, if I were just rid of my old woman . In 1983 the music group broke up.
