Shushi (Province)

Shushi ( Armenian Շուշի ) is a province of the de facto Republic of Artsakh . In addition to the capital Shuschi, it mainly comprises areas west of the city.
The area corresponds to the Azerbaijani district of Shusha , which was occupied by Armenian troops during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict . He is still claimed by Azerbaijan .
The highway from Goris to Stepanakert runs through the province.
