legend

Legend has it that a jug was located where the Black Lake is today at Cambs. There was always a lot going on there. The devil was in charge. The fiddle screeched day and night and on Sundays and weekdays. Once a car with a coffin passed there. There was a mother of eight in it. One of the funeral entourage went in and said to stop the music about the funeral procession. He was laughed at, whereupon the Kruger threw him out. As soon as he was outside, a rider in a red coat sprang up. He jumped off his horse in front of the pitcher and ordered a half-hour break. They showed him the door too. Another hour later a man in long white clothes appeared. He prophesied doom for the high-spirited company in the jug if they weren't immediately silent for an hour. The guests tossed everything they could get their hands on at him. But when the man was out there was a loud bang. The jug and its guests sank into the ground and the Black Sea formed.
