The Cambser See is located in the Sternberg lake landscape east of the Schweriner See . The village of Cambs is on the west bank .

geography

The entire lake, which is up to 27 meters deep, is lined with a belt of reeds. Its water is of drinking water quality. The Cambser See drains via the Motel and the Small and Large Pohlsee into the Warnow . The inflow takes place over the partly very boggy north bank from the direction of Weißer See. In the north there is a striking larger bay near Cambs.

The Cambser See is located east of the North Sea-Baltic Sea divide .

legend

The residents of Langen Brütz and Cambs fought for a long time over the lake. This is on the border between the two villages. Finally the sovereign made a decision. The lake is said to belong to Cambs as long as there is water in it. But if the water should dry up, the reason falls to Langen Brütz.
