The Schwarzhörnige- or Black Feel engined gravedigger ( Nicrophorus vespilloides ) is a beetle from the family of carrion beetles (Silphidae).
features
The beetles reach a body length of 12 to 18 millimeters. Her body is colored black. The wings ( elytres ) have two conspicuous yellow to red-yellow bands with a zigzag edge. These ligaments, especially the one further back, are occasionally separated into two spots. The neck label carries a wide hem hutkrempenartigen except on the front of all other pages. The antennae and also the antennae are completely black, whereas in the similar common grave digger ( Nicrophorus vespillo ) the first link of the antennae is almost always red. The epipleurs are yellow and have black spots. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are straight.

Distribution and way of life
The diurnal animals occur in Europe and Asia up to the far north. They are only found in places in the British Isles . You can find them from the flatlands and the coast up to high mountains, on rotting plant material, cadavers and also on mushrooms. Just like other Nicrophorus species, it has distinctive social behavior .
