The Schwarzkopf is one of the lesser-known peaks of the eastern Bavarian Forest . It is 1060 m high and lies between Herzogsreut , Annathal and Philippsreut . At the highest point there is a simple summit cross with a view of Herzogsreut. There is no marked hiking trail on the Schwarzkopf, possible climbs start in Philippsreut, Schlichtenberg and at the Bärenbachruhe. The mountain is not to be confused with the Čerchov (German: Schwarzkopf ) of the Upper Palatinate Forest.
