Schwerer Dampfhammer 86 took place from September 15 to September 19, 1986 in the Landshut , Erding , Rosenheim and Altötting area . The maneuver was carried out by the 1st Mountain Division , Garmisch-Partenkirchen .
procedure
In Vilsbiburg , in the district of Landshut , a fatal accident occurred with a tank in which two soldiers were killed.
Used device
Large-scale military equipment used included the Leopard 2 , Leopard 1A1 , Marder 1A2 battle tanks , as well as the M113 A2G -MTW personnel carrier, M48 AVLB and the Fuchs transport tank .
